To handle the intricate moving parts while keeping the balance right, the entire body is crafted from aviation aluminum alloy (including the scepter; only select screws are stainless steel). This is NOT the brittle, low-grade zinc alloy often found on the market. The surface has a stonewashed finish. Due to the nature of aluminum, the surface looks a bit raw and rugged, but this has zero impact on the mechanical performance or hand feel.
